My note-taking strategy
I prefer to take physical handwritten notes. I think that this not only helps me stay more engaged and not have distractions but it also is scientifically proven you tend to remember more when writing things down. However, this is getting difficult because I am a slow writer and typing is just easier. I tend to have the same setup of notes no matter the type I am taking. I will have big headings with little bullet points underneath with information relating to that topic. Often times when writing digital notes I like to make the headings of each topic a different color. This helps me remember what info is about what and when going back through the notes by color association. Another thing for my notes, is I try to write down phrases rather than full sentences or words. This helps with time and I can write down more information this way. Also if I miss something, I often leave a space and come back to it later by asking my peers. I have no shame in asking what I missed to get the information I need :)
