Other Kittens: We’d better pair up too!

Jemima and Tumblebrutus: *pair up and hang out*
Etcetera: *Tries to get George’s attention by doing stretches*
George: *Notices but is too dumb to take a hint and/or doesn’t give a shit. Either way, they’re sort of paired up.*
Electra: ...
Pouncival: ...
Nope!
Electra: *crawls on top of Mistoffelees*
Misto: *allows it but whatever*
Pouncival: *somehow manages to roll around on top of Bombalurina in a manner very similar to what Alonzo and Cassandra are doing. He appeared to have impressed her with a handstand.*
They so easily could’ve just paired the two remaining kittens, but they instead have this whole little adventure.
NOTE: This applies only to Cats 1998. Pretty much every other production pairs Tugger and Bomba in this scene. This version decided to be different. And weird. I mean, you have Tugger with Jenny and Bomba with Pouncival. I think they were trying to be weird.
Meanwhile, I think Misto just used Electra as a blanket. He isn’t as active in the rolling around as the other pairs.
