November HF Patreon Wallpaper - Webley-Fosbery Revolver
As I’m sure many of you know I support my work on Historical Firearms through Patreon. This month Patreon has made a real difference and allowed me to get my computer fixed quickly when it ran into problems! One of the perks of being a supporter of HF on Patreon is the monthly desktop wallpaper which features the patent drawings of interesting and significant firearms.
This month’s Historical Firearms desktop wallpaper features none other than George Fosbery's fascinating automatic revolver. Produced by Webley between 1901 to 1924, the recoil-operated automatic revolver uses an interesting sliding action and zig-zag cylinder cut to cycle the pistol. Originally designed in the mid-1890s Fosbery patented his design in 1897. This wallpaper features drawings from both his British and American patents and a high-res photograph of the pistol.
