Joel was right outside Georgia’s door at 7pm knocking it on it. He told her to be ready then and he didn’t want her waiting on him. Plus, Joel had an annoying tendency to be on time for everything. He wanted to make their first date memorable for the both of them. This date seemed to be a long time coming for them, so he went all out. He knocked on her apartment door grinning as she answered. “I hope you’re ready and you packed an overnight bag. I got us a private jet to Vegas.”

“What do you say we get a strawberry shaved ice then once we eat them we find a spot to make out.” He wiggled his eyebrows and laughed. “I’ll buy.”

“You know what I don’t understand?” She was only a drink in, but Emily was a lightweight, so it didn’t take much for her to start feeling it. “Why my friends don’t kiss each other more? Like, most of them are single and all of them are so attractive----How is everyone in this town so attractive?” She pondered for a moment. “Anyway, my friends need to kiss more. Because kissing is fun.”

joel didn’t even think about getting into his car to go to georgia dyer’s in the middle of the night. he often did things without thinking, so this was normal, but hanging out with georgia dyer? this was new. joel was attracted to her, sure, but this was just another fling. he was pretty sure she thought so too. she was just using him to get over whatever she needed to get over. joel pulled up to georgia’s apartment building.

JOEL: hey, i’m outside. in the tesla model x JOEL: take your time!

(8/10) “I love Liv, don’t get me wrong, but yeah, I do wish I would’ve had her when I was older. I wish I could give her the family that she deserves, instead of an absentee mother and a father who’s still figuring his own life out. But if going back and changing that meant not having her at all, then no, I wouldn’t do it.”
