If you're talking about the extra credit field trips, you can choose to go on your own time to a place where you can learn about geosystems (think Shenandoah Valley, Smithsonian Museum of National History), and writing up a report about your trip can bump your quarter grade up to 3 percentage points. You can do a trip for the grade boost once per quarter.

Yeah, this came up when juniors werre scheduling their classes last year. I don’t think any one knew what was going on though, and we were told to ignore it. This year though, Geosystems is the same for everyone.
