He slowly set the fork down and took a slow, deep breath. "I'm sorry, but what happened to your hair?"

Myrna had been nothing but kind to him, and patient...she seemed to try and lead with compassion and honesty, and she was constantly helping anyone and everyone they came across. Some found it tedious, some found it naive, others felt relief. Cole was the latter, pleased that she cared enough to try.

He said nothing at first, mulling over his words and wondering how to proceed.

"I..." How to word it clearly?

Cole spoke slowly as he tried to keep his words clear and plain. "I see hearts. I see the wants and fears, the anger and hurt, the dreams...I see it all. She isn't...pure, but she tries to help."

"And the war came to Thedas; it's already here." He glanced at Geralt, smiling sadly. "But so long as she remains kind, I will stay."

He would remain loyal so long as she didn't become cruel and cold.

"If she...changes...I will stop her." Myrna trusted him enough that Cole was sure that killing her would be easy if it came to that. Emotionally? It would be an uphill battle, but it could be done.

"So I already side with her."
