It had been years ago when Alucard had crossed paths with the witcher, about fifteen if his memory served correct. Though the witcher had thought him a threat at first the dhampir was able to convince him that he wasn't and aided him with dealing with vampire that had been causing harm. They became friends and even traveled together for a short time before parting ways.

After many years of traveling he found himself back in familiar parts, hiking up a mountain as the snow lightly floated down beginning to coat everything in a layer of snow. He was headed to Kaer Morhen, the home of the witchers. Geralt had told him if he ever needed aid to come here. Though he'd made acquaintances and friends along his travels, being what he was often led to being exiled and unwelcomed in many places. Alucard hoped that his friendship with the witcher did not have an expiration date.

He came to the gate of the old castle and was relieved to find it open and walked through the threshold. Golden eyes scanned the courtyard, a couple horses at the stable and a pair of witchers who he'd never seen before were sparing until they noticed the stranger's presence and pointed their blades towards him. Alucard held up a hand in a non threatening way and took a step back. "I'm looking for Geralt of Rivia, he's an old friend. Is he here?"

She shifted closer to Kakashi. Arms snaked around his neck as she kissed his nose again. “Just this once? I - I want to kiss you. Properly..” She never understood the double mask joke. What hid beneath didn’t really interest her but.. how else could she kiss him? She wanted skin against skin. She’ll even close her eyes.

"If I rest at home, someone will definitely come after me! We're going somewhere far away! It'll take a while for them to find me... please..." Kakashi clasps his hands together and begs his father to accept. He sighs, looking at all the paperwork. He was getting a headache just looking at it. "It's only for a few days. I promise I'll bury myself in this damn paperwork... I mean... I'll work hard as soon as we get back. But... I really need a break right now!" The new hokage looks at his father, and even though his mask doesn't reveal, a sweet smile it forms on his lips. "And honestly, I've been so busy that I haven't had time to talk to you anymore. By the way, are you okay? Have you been taking good care of yourself? Are you eating and hydrating properly, right? Please, you have to take care of yourself; you're not that young anymore, Dad..." // @kakashimultimuses

Sakumo softly chuckled. Perhaps he shouldn’t have teased Kakashi like that? He’s well aware of how hard Kakashi has been working ever since taking on the role of Hokage, and couldn’t begin to imagine the pressure he’s under due to the weight of responsibility. Sometimes, it amazes Sakumo how much his son has achieved. He couldn’t be prouder of the man Kakashi has become.

“Now, now—there’s no need to explain. I’m sorry, I was teasing. A trip does sound nice, and I know the change in scenery will do you some good.” The White Fang replied, leaving the windowsill to stand beside Kakashi’s desk.

Sometimes, the certain looks that his son gave reminded Sakumo of Toboe, Kakashi’s mother. If only she were still alive to see them.

“Where would you like to go?” He asked. “You mentioned camping, which could be nice, but we have other options, too. If you’re feeling burnt out from work, then maybe we could spend a few days at an onsen ryokan? The hot springs at the inn would be rejuvenating, don’t you think?”

Okay, perhaps he’s also thinking about himself? The idea of visiting the hot springs sounded relaxing. They could find one up in the mountains and enjoy the natural beauty and quiet. Not to mention, the meals served at rural inns are somehow always delicious.

His smile widens. “Of course, I’m fine. You don’t need to worry so much about me, Kakashi. Even though I’m not as young as I used to be, I get around great. I’m taking plenty of care of myself. Promise.” Sakumo reached to rub the tuft of silvery scruff at his nape, the ponytail he once sported no longer there.

"You don't really need to ask that, you know? Of course you can." He was being way too damn cute, yet smooth, right now and it caused her to pout a bit. It was a bit much for her to take. Really, his response was more than enough that he didn't really need to make or get her anything.

Still, the fact he wanted to do the gesture meant it wasn't something she was going to refuse.

"...Just don't fret yourself trying to figure out a gift for me, okay? I know how busy you are."

"It is also your duty to live as well." Hijikata replied as Kakashi had entered the room. While he was appreciative of the protection, he also wanted all his men to have the will to live and not just be a shield to protect him.

Continued from: "I wouldn't say I'm scared… but uncomfortable. Unfortunately, I had some unpleasant experiences with your former… master. So forgive me if I'm not a fan of snakes, you know?" Kakashi rubs the back of his neck, a little embarrassed at having to reveal this.

"He had unpleasant experiences with lots of people, huh?" Anko supposed it should be a bit of a relief that she wasn't the only one that had some not great incidents with Orochimaru, although it was complicated since she also had some good memories with him.

"My snakes are generally more tame than the ones he would summon if that comforts you at all."
