Nursing his broken heart at Oxenfurt among his new life as a professor, Jaskier tries to put his life as Geralt’s friend and bard behind him, working on getting over his broken heart. Jaskier’s got his own life, he doesn’t need Geralt. Unfortunately, the heart wants what it wants so when he comes in contact with a djinn and ends up wishing that he never fought with Geralt on the mountain. Now he’s in a new reality where Geralt and he are together but he’s lost everything else. When Yennefer arrives and reveals he’s unbalanced the forces of chaos, Jaskier has to face the question, is it really better to have loved and lost than not?
