for prepositions use "auf" with "Markt", use "bei" when you´re referring to a person or the actual name of a store: "beim Metzger" or "bei Aldi", and use "in" when you´re talking about a type of store: "in der Bäckerei"

Another Damn Recipe: Ravioli Edition
Ingredients (for about 80 pieces)
For the pasta dough
600 g of flour
4 eggs
8 egg yolks
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of olive oil.
For the filling
1 baguette white bread ° - 2 days old
5 tablespoons milk
5 eggs
500 g sausage meat
100 g mixed minced meat
1 cup of ready-made spinach (frozen or fresh)
2 large onions
2 tablespoons oil
Salt
Nutmeg
ground white pepper
some tablespoons breadcrumbs
Instructions
The dough
Pile the flour onto the bread board, press a crater in the middle. Scatter the salt over the crater, add the eggs. Mix the eggs in the trough with a fork. Gradually stir in the flour from the edge. Continue stirring, stirring in more and more flour from the edge. When a thick porridge has formed in the middle, spread the edge of the flour over the dough with both hands. Knead the dough well. Then divide the dough ball into four parts and wrap it in transparent film. Leave to rest in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
The filling
Cut the bread into thin slices, add the whisked eggs and milk and let it soften a little. Then add the sausage meat, spinach and minced meat and the spices. Chop the onions finely and sauté in oil approx. 15 minutes, let cool and also add breadcrumbs as needed — should give a spreadable mass. It makes sense to cook a dumpling in hot salt water and try it, because the spices are often missing.
Making the Ravioli
The balls of dough are rolled out as thin as possible on a floured pasta board - as in the picture - and rolled out as rectangular as possible.
Coat half of the pasta plate (= sheet of rolled-out dough) with egg white and top with the filling - as in the picture. Fold the second half of the dough plate over it and press the gaps well with a wooden spoon handle. Separate with the pastry wheel.
Bring salt water to a boil in the largest possible pot, insert the pastries, reduce the heat and let it boil gently for 10 minutes.
Serving suggestion: Pan in the pan with hot butter or as a dumpling soup.Or — original Swabian - as in the picture with potato salad!
Fun Facts:
There are all kinds of places to shop in the German-speaking countries, and people often go to one of the more specialized places (as opposed to a large grocery store), especially if they´re having a party. Do you remember these words: Metzger/Metzgerei, Bäcker/Bäckerei, Markt, Lebensmittelgeschäft, Kaufhaus? Do you also remember that there are larger grocery stores as you know them, both free-standing and as parts of department stores? Sehr gut! There´s one more kind of store you’ve not really talked about: Aldi. Some of you may have Aldi stores near you, but it is a German company. The prices are usually cheaper because they have more off-brands, and there is no fancy presentation in the store. People often shop there for everyday items.
The smoked eel is often eaten in northern Germany. Other types of smoked fish can be found in other parts of Europe.
When you've been invited, it's typical to bring something (a "gift"): flowers or a bottle of wine (or both). However, the guest does not expect to drink the wine that evening. It is a gift for the host.
If there are children in the family, you often bring something for them: often children's chocolate, especially a surprise egg. A small toy is hidden in the chocolate egg, which usually has to be put together somehow. The small figures are collected. Maybe you can buy a collection online!
