Poor ghost Gabe getting a front row seat to every single fight his superhero sister is in and he can’t even look away because he needs to be ready to warn her for danger.

I’m just imagining him peeking through his fingers wincing whenever a hit lands on Natalie and cheering when Natalie lands a punch.

sorry the thought just occurred to me that natalie might run into danger bc gabe warning her is how she has proof of his existence + of someone looking at her, and she wants that; i just needed to get that out there

anyway gabe is like. the best ghost cheerleader for his little sister. look at her go she's great at her job and—oh shit natalie move he's about to kick you—yay nice hit!! big brother of the year if one of the eligibility criteria wasn't being alive

Wait omg Spider-Man Natalie has so much angst potetinal.

I can just imagine her not even minding getting hurt so often since at least with physical pain at least it’s more real and a “valid” reason to be hurt and whenever she’s injured really bad she can even see her brother. Which in turn makes her more reckless and prone to getting more seriously injured.

Maybe it’s him or maybe it’s just her mind playing tricks on her but for a few seconds before she’s healed there’s someone there for her because they chose to be there for her.

Whether he’s real or not doesn’t matter.

i think henry catches her with a concussion at her recital (bc she was out fighting the night prior trying to distract herself) and worries about her being high bc she keeps flinching away from the lights n noises T-T and definitely she does use the drugs as an excuse for why she seems out of it at some. points (and also probably uses the drugs to distract herself/numb the pain bc she's NOT a doctor and even enhanced healing doesn't stop it from hurting when she gets beat up)

and yes!! those passing glimpses of someone she shouldn't see when she's patching herself up—maybe he's there, maybe he's not. the fact remains that she cannot deny longing for him to be there for her because he cares about her. because he sees what she's doing. because he sees her

In regards to Spider-Man Natalie do you like the idea of ghost sense Gabe who is trying to keep his dumbass sister alive more or Gabe being the chronically ill brother who is wondering why the hell his sisters been up to?

i think for a specifically spider-man au i prefer him as spidey sense bc that’s a much more compelling dynamic imo but for a more generic superhero au i like him alive! just depends on what the narrative calls for tho tbh i like both versions quite a bit
