HALLO! Big thanks to everyone who recently followed me , reblogged or faved anything on my blog , i really appreciate that!
Soooooo as i mentioned with my ‘’REBLOG IF you blog is about language ‘’ post , i checked almost everyone out who reblogged my post , and as i saw , many of you guys are learning german ! And because i am a native german speaker , i decided to post something about the common german slang from Nordrhein-Westfalen (where i live) , as a little ‘’thank you ‘’ for all the positive vibes !
Before i start : The following slang is used in Nordrhein-Westfalen , in the Area of the Ruhrpott and Cologne, you should only use this slang if you are talking to friends , because its not meant to be talked with people you dont know well , cuz its not formal !
Das is usually pronounced Dat in slang
And ‘’Ein/Eine’’ is commonly shorten up as n/ne (n brot/ne lampe)
Was machse so? - What are you doing? (wyd) - (Was machst du gerade so)
When talking slang , the ‘st’ (for example machST) at the end of a verb , and ‘’du’’ are fusioning. so - st+du=se (machST+Du=MachSE)
Hassat gesehen? / Hasse das gesehen? - Did you see that ? (Hast du das gesehen?
Was/Wat geht bei dir ?! - whats wrong with you ?! (if someone is acting up)
Hasse n problem ?! - Do you got a problem ?!
Wat willse ?! - what do you want ?!
Wat bis’ du’n für einer ? - what kinda strange person are you? (if someone is acting weird)
Von wo bisse?/Woher kommse? - where are you from? (country/origin)
wie war deine woche ? - how was your week? <3
Geht klar - alright (if someone asked ‘’wie war deine woche?’’ , you can answer with this , but in a little different way - ging klar -, cuz its past)
Könn’wa machen - we can do that (if someone asks you to go out with him , like ‘’sollen wir heute ins kino ?’’ - ‘’Könn’wa machen’’)
Ne ne , ich bin nich von hier - No no ,im not from here (if someone asks you if you are from a town near by)
Kein Ahnung Digga - I dont know , man (digga= sth like man, bro, bruh)
Ich bin dann ma’ weg - imma go now
Hau rein - literally ‘’punch in’’ - see ya !
