Prepositions in German with Accusative
BIS - until (locative or temporal): bis bald - see you soon; von Kopf bis Fuß - from head to toe
DURCH - by means of, through (locative): eine Reise durch Deutschland - a trip through Germany;
FÜR - for (purpose); of (purpose): sterben für dich - to die for you; Institut für Allgemeine Physik - Istitut of General Phisics;
GEGEN - against (locative); toward, about, approximately (temporal): gegen die Wand - against the wall; Kampf gegen die Krankenheit - fight against the illness; Er kommt gegen 9:00 ins Büro - He’s coming to the office about 9:00 o’clock;
OHNE - without: Welt ohne Krieg - world without war
UM - at (temporal); at, around (local): um zehn Uhr - at teen o’clock; um die Ecke - around the corner
There are some verbs that are followed by those prepositions and must be used with Accusative.
