*my germany photo diary*
hi everyone! i've returned from my travels & (sorta) back to schedule, haha! i had a super fun long weekend in germany for the grand opening of my kung fu cousin's new school & here are some of my sightseeing photos in münster, cologne, & düsseldorf :)
the thing i loved most about the places i visited in germany was the contrast of new buildings, like high-end shopping areas, with the centuries-old church architecture. i love that type of juxtaposition. the best sites in münster i saw were the st. paulus dom or münster cathedral & the creepy, yet beautiful st. lambert's church with its 3 torture cages still hanging from the steeple.
of course, i was also taken to the best breweries in each town, like pinkus müller in münster & früh in cologne. i'm not a beer drinker at all, but when in rome (or, er, germany), right? i actually really liked german beer, especially a lemony beer at pinkus that reminded me of a summer shandy :)
all in all, i had a really amazing time & was glad to have visited europe again where i haven't been since my honeymoon. next time, i will hopefully spend more than 4 days to be able to explore more, haha!
