In recognition of the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, the German Mission to the UN delivered a powerful speech about the failure of "Never Again," R2P, and the lack of international accountability in the face of humanitarian crises around the globe.
In 1948 the international community proclaimed: “Never again!”...But, painfully we have to realize that the world did not live up to this promise.
