I love the contrast between their personalities despite looking so similar appearance wise!! 💕 Especially with how they deal with their feelings, Sweden being so chill and straightforward about it, despite his general awkwardness, whereas Germany will panic inside (and outside) anytime he catches himself having emotions.
I think it'd be a very neat ship, especially with some scenario where Berwald leads and teaches Ludwig to embrace his feelings instead of fearing them. Make him feel emotionally vulnerable but help him understand there's nothing wrong with feeling that way about someone and that it's worth the risk.
Ok so, back in the day GerSu was the first thing that made me consider the appeal of submissive!Germany.
