in-character asks are now open.

Feel free to send prayers (asks) to former General Geshu Lin (pre-Ovathrax) or post-Ovathrax Geshu; just be sure to address who it's for and who it's from (if coming from a canon character).

Asks may be answered in drawing, writing, or both depending on the premise. Standard asks for the mod are still open, as that is also the other 50% focus of this account (writing and character analysis).

Some projects I am pondering/am in the process of doing:

Writing my Post-Ovathrax Geshu AU into a proper fic (prologue is 50% done!)

Making a comprehensive master-post of all of the actual canon information we have about Geshu (mostly as a supplementary piece to my main Geshu defense post, but also because I believe we need more canon-heavy content about him)

^ +Lore inferences and expansions that can be assumed off of that

Going back through Geshu’s quest dialogue in Chinese to see if there was any context-changing localizations in English

Yes, I'm aware there is a Geshu Lin appearance in the new Qiuyuan quest. Lucky for you all, I haven't played it yet, so this blog will remain stagnant until I've gotten to it. Stay tuned for a post analyzing it, though. Wishing you all a great Halloween and Qiuyuan release day!

I have pre-written over 6k words in the past three days for my Geshu Lin RPs (these are both one response each, so essentially a huge backstory segment) and it pains me that I can’t post any art or snippets of it because it would be a huge spoiler for the partners that follow this blog 🥹 Ahhhh!!!!

Once I can finally send these into the RP, would you guys be interested in me posting them here as well?

I’ve received a couple of asks about my version of Geshu Lin (thank you all for those, by the way! I haven’t been able to find time to draw any responses yet but those will come around as soon as I can get to them 😊) so I presume some people may be interested in how I write him as well.

Both docs total to about ~6k words (one being 3k and the other being 2.8k), so I suppose they could be considered one-shots due to the fact that they’re just… 3k words of backstory with no response interruptions?

These are namely my Post Ovathrax!Geshu Lin, but a majority of these entries are flashbacks and recounting his past/the siege on Ovathrax and then his death, so basically canon-based (albeit with minor creative liberties, such as family relationships).
