MX vs ATV All Out - Xbox One
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]“All Terrain, All Vehicles, All You! MX vs ATV All Out is the complete off-road racing and lifestyle experience!” – THQNordic
If like me, you’re really old, then you will most likely remember the very first installment of MX vs ATV. MX vs ATV: Unleashed was the one that got me hooked. Way ahead of its time, there was simply nothing like it out there. Everything from the seemingly vast open-world racing to the epic sound track that accompanied the game. Lets see if the latest incarnation can live up to the name that THQ created for it all those years ago…
Getting into the game seemed good at first. Right off the bat you start in your very own compound where you can ride around freely, choosing to do tutorials or jump straight into the action. You can select from various game modes including: Supercross, Nationals, Opencross, Waypoint, Tag and Freestyle. You can also customise your ride and your rider with career winnings. Choose either Motocross, ATVs or UTVs to complete the races in.
Loading times seemed to take a bit longer than expected and the maps seems a lot smaller than previous installments of the game.
Still, the racing is fast and intense. This has you trying harder every time to secure a win to make some cash so you can upgrade that whip.
Graphically the game looks good, but has some issues. The terrain seems very softly detailed and the vehicles mostly look the same. Here and there you’ll noticed a difference between the 4 and 2 stroke models.
The MX vs ATV soundtracks have always been awesome and MX vs ATV: all Out does not disappoint. It includes a great mix of energetic tunes to get you into the spirit of racing. I think I even saw a few tracks from The Offspring.
In conclusion I have to say that the game has the underpinnings of something awesome, I do however feel that MX vs ATV: All Out has lost some its mojo. The loading times in the menus are frustrating and the options are limited. The bikes and quads all feel very similar even though they have(or should have) vastly differing stats. The redeeming factor being that most of the issues are probably just a patch away from being fixed. On the plus side, the soundtrack is just as epic as its always been.[/vc_column_text][vc_gallery type=”image_grid” images=”29305,29306,29307,29308″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]
