I am embarrassed asking this because I see this term all over the place but I cant figure out what it means or why its so upsetting, what is " discourse " ? Is it about crime or religion and if so why is it such a big thing in fandom? sorry for my ignorance

Discourse is essentially just when a bunch of people come together and discuss a topic, usually having different opinions; it’s usually never about religion?? I’m not sure where you saw that?

But it is really just when people talk about their opinions and drag it on for a while because it could contain things like morals which can get pretty heated

Éloïse is obviously an American because no one else in the world would complain so much about the books in the manor not being "understandable" or written in a "true" and not "weird" language such as Ancient Greek, Latin, Cyrillic, the latter not even being a language. I really appreciated Ethan's response, though. He plainly told her she's ignorant af while playing the bookworm.

hOW COULD I POSSIBLY CHOOS—Latkes.

Apparently most people haven’t had latkes??? Like yeah it’s a Jewish food but just because you’re not Jewish doesn’t mean you should deny yourself the best food ever. They’re not even that hard to make

Also a bunch of people don’t even know what they’re called and just call them potato pancakes and that just makes me sad. Get a dictionary. Eat a latke. Improve your life.
