haven’t seen anyone mentioning the fact that shane was with hayden in the hotel room when ilya asked to call him. ilya asked if he was alone and shane immediately left the hotel room and sat in a (probably uncomfortable and cold) stairwell to answer ilya’s call and give him the privacy he deserved to have for this conversation. shane didn’t even hesitate. he left with a half assed excuse to hayden because he wanted to talk to ilya so badly, and he knew ilya wanted to talk to him too. there was nothing standing in the way of either of them talking to each other, because they finally realized that’s all they wanted. to hear each other’s voice.
