Got the basics in for Paul the other day. When starting a cohesive sleeve, like dragon, I try to concentrate only on the foundations. Making sure that everything I want to have in the foreground, is in. We start to build the extra elements, like flowers and background after the foreground is taken care of. Depending on the design, sometimes this means adding some background and accompanying elements in the first session. But this dragon fit Paul’s arm perfectly. Apart from a few bubble clouds around the dragons head, there was no need to add anything more to the foreground.
