Ppl: getaway doesnt deserve redemption so much as having to face the victims of his crimes

Me, wondering how these are mutually exlcusive, and also wondering why getaway has to do all that when Megatron (in merely one small example of this) not only never had to even apologize to rodimus for literally murdering him, but also proceeded to steal his job, his ship, his friends, and mock, criticize, and yell at him every time they were in a room together, and yet is still beloved by fans and considered redeemed:

I love it, getaway's Career of Evil has lasted all of 5 minutes and consists of killing like 3 named characters, breaking a cute character's heart, and hijacking someones space van and yet the fandom sees him as worse than the literal devil (that's not an exaggeration either, Actual Transformers Satan is angling to eat the entire comic and everyone hates him less than getaway)
