Is it something you still want to do?
I was explaining to my mom some of the experiences I've had while subbing, she asked if teaching is something I still want to do. I honestly don't know. On one hand I feel like I haven't given it a fair shot with just subbing. On the other hand I haven't gotten really excited about it. Every night before I go sub somewhere I get really nervous but I don't get nervous to go to my other job. I just wish my other job paid more. Why should I keep trying to get a job in something that stresses me out? And any time I show interest in teaching I have to take a step back because I don't have enough experience or the right certification. So why do I try to sub? Is it really any help when it comes to teaching? Anyway as I wait to see schools post positions for the next school year I keep asking myself if this is something I want to do. And I don't know. I don't even know if I could be good at it. But I do know what I'm doing now isn't working or going to work for much longer.
