‘The Expendables’ to be Turned into TV Series

Los Angeles, Hollywood actor Sylvester Stallone is bringing “The Expendables” action to television.

The hit movie franchise is being developed as an event series with Stallone executive producing alongside the film’s producer Avi Lerner.

The TV adaptation is described as a fun action drama that unites iconic TV stars as a new team of highly skilled heroes who are on a mission to stop a dangerous terrorist, according to Deadline, reports aceshowbiz.com.

Greg Coolidge, Kirk Ward and Shane Brennan will write the TV adaptation in addition to serving as executive producers. Brennan will also serve as showrunner for the event series.

Child artist Gracy Goswami loves being new ‘Balika Vadhu’

New Delhi, She’s all of 11, but knows the gravity of the social menace that is child marriage. Child artist Gracy Goswami, who plays a child bride in TV show “Balika Vadhu” post its leap, says it is important to portray a role with conviction on screen to send out a strong message to the audience.

“I’m playing a very important character in a very popular show, which is a big achievement in itself. I enjoy playing the role as I feel that if we want to give out a message to the audience, then we have to do it properly. Only then they will understand it,” Gracy told IANS over phone from Mumbai.

Gracy’s character named Nimboli has been introduced in the Colors’ show after its makers introduced an 11-year leap in the narrative of the long-running show. She is Anandi’s daughter, who has been kidnapped and finds herself bound by the chains that plagued Anandi’s own childhood — child marriage.

The Baroda resident also mentioned that her “school teachers explained to her the concept of child marriage”. Meanwhile, Gracy is enjoying being part of the show and grasping new things on the sets.

“I’m enjoying doing the show. I am learning a lot of new things from my fellow actors. It is very exciting as well. I feel fresh and energised after shooting for the show,” she said.

Asked about how she landed the role, she was quick to narrate the whole process: “I gave an audition for the role. I got the script which I performed convincingly, and I got a call next day saying that I have been selected and this is how I became Nimboli.”

What about studies?

“I study whenever I get free time while shooting for the show,” she said.

Badlapur Movie Review : Watch It For Varun And Nawazuddin Siddiqui

Bollywood Movie Reviews : ‘Badlapur’ has a nice set-up and a revengeful end which fizzles.

A bank robbery goes horrifyingly wrong, resulting in the death of innocents. One robber escapes and the other (Nawazudin Siddiqui) is caught and jailed. The young man (Varun Dhawan) whose cosy, comfortable life is overturned by the incident, vows ‘badla’ (revenge).

Badlapur is technically sound, like any Sriram Raghavan film, with flawless camera work and crisp editing. While story might not be an intelligent one, it is witty, cheeky and driven by the feeling of revenge.

Sriram Raghvan, the director of Ek Hasina Thi and Agent Vinod returns with a revenge story that will shock and amaze you.

Varun Dhawan has given an honest performance, and the hard work that he had put for the role is evident onscreen.

His brooding demeanour, revenge seeking antics will leave you in awe and unique, at times torturous. People have found respect for Varun. Nawazuddin Siddiqui also steals the show, with his amazing body language, which is witty and at times cheeky, making you wonder is there anything the actor can’t do.

‘Badlapur’ is so riveting you don’t even want to blink. You watch, heart in mouth, willing the critically injured to keep breathing. You are hooked, by a beginning which is such a brutal shocker that you cannot wait to see how this tale of darkness and promised destruction will pan out.

Scenes of Dhawan, Radhika Apte and Pathak are simply mind blowing. Yami Gautam looks gorgeous in a tiny role and Huma, playing a prostitute, gives a decent performance, though her character didn’t seem to have any impact on the story.

Sachin-Jigar’s music blends perfectly with the genre of the film. Sriram Raghavan’s direction is praiseworthy as he tells a simple tale with so much impact, deriving some award winning performances from his actors. The film has portions of semi nudity and sex scenes, which has been handled delicately.

Badlapur is witty, bold and classy at the same time. If you enjoy intense dark flicks, Badlapur is for you. Watch it for Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Varun Dhawan, who are the heart and soul of the film. Read More. http://goo.gl/xLP0jG
