If you think there’s something more embarrassing than your crush walking in on you literally bouncing off your bedroom walls while shrieking your favorite Forever Fading Echoes song into your hairbrush, you’re wrong.
You’re so very wrong.
“Are you ok?” Adam asked me, an amused smile making his gorgeous lips twitch. I could tell he was dying to laugh.
“Uh, yeah,” I mumbled, face burning. “I just uh…I really love this song.”
“Really? Because you’re murdering it,” he replied, evil grin spreading across his stupid, handsome face.
“Is making obvious jokes your super power?” I snapped, crossing my arms and quirking a brow.
He chuckled, that adorable grin going dark as he tugged up the hem of his soft cotton tee shirt to expose his perfectly toned stomach. His abs looked like they were carved from weirdly sexy stone.
“Nope, I think it’s these.”
“I hate you, get out,” I yelled, but I couldn’t help but smile.
Ever since I’d agreed to stay with The Project, we’d been spending more time together. Jones had even agreed to let Adam train me in hand-to-hand combat. So I spent an unfair amount of time on my back, gazing up at him while he towered over me (if they ever make a movie of my life, this is where the training montage should be, FYI). I wasn’t complaining, that’s for damn sure.
