GN-002 Getting Noticed Tag It Up
“Going somewhere?“
The trouble with numbers
Everyone’s always so upset about the number of notes (and pageviews, kudos, etc) they get...
People who get 10 are upset. People who get 100 are upset. And yes, people who get 1000 are still upset.
We’re all valid for feeling this way. It’s natural and deep in our programming to be like this, but that doesn’t mean we have to let number get us down so badly. For me, once I understand why something happens, I can over come it. Maybe you can too. After all, can’t we be better if we know better?
Here’s why we all feel so terrible about stats on our creations: Monkey Fairness.

i'm a new writer for the fandom and I was just wonder how do you get noticed? I feel like I'm doing something wrong. I never get notes and it's kinda just...disheartening. maybe my stuff just sucks. I always tag as best as I can but idk :\
I’m sorry to hear that babe! When I got started I made sure I followed everyone I looked up to and when they wrote something I loved or was inspired by I made sure to drop them an ask and engage with them and their stuff, eventually they became mutuals and the like.
I am sure your writing doesn’t suck though and I know it’s hard when we crave the notes and the reblogs and they don’t come, but trust me it isn’t your work! It does seem to take time and people will start to notice you I promise! As long as you are putting out content people will be grateful because we love it all and eat everything up! Tagging is the best way, make them as generic as possible and there’s no shame in a lot of tags, plug plug plug!
You are always welcome to tag me in stuff, I read everything I’m tagged in and I always try my best to reblog and share it out, but if you don’t want to I totally respect that. Equally drop me an ask whenever and I’ll do what I can to help! ❤️❤️❤️
