Our time in LA was drawing to an end. We had seen and done it all. I was leaving the guys to their own devices today and driving across town to hangout with Wendy, the lovely girl I had met at Cowboy Country the week before.
The good thing about going out with a girl when you’re from out of town is that you don't have to pick where you go, the shoes on the other foot and the pressure is off. It made for a nice change of pace.
She was taking me to the Getty Centre, which is a huge museum with a large collection of paintings, sculptures, art and all that sort of jazz. My favourite part of the entire place was the gardens. They were immaculately kept and offered superb views of the area.
After wandering around for a few hours, while I pretended I knew the first thing about painting and brush strokes, we headed back towards where Wendy lived for some dinner. You know you’ve got yourself a cracking lass when she insists on paying.
We tried to hit a few bars to keep the night going but I was refused entry at a few places because I only had my drivers license with me. If they had seen the picture in my passport they may of reconsidered.
Not letting that minor set back get in our way we grabbed some stuff from a local supermarket and headed back to hers for cuddles in front of a few movies instead. Not a bad date by anyone's standards.
