Is it ever too late to change the course of one's life?  This is the perennial question explored in Charles Dickens' classic tale, A Christmas Carol. Billed by some as a ghost story, today we know it as a holiday favorite that reminds us that what we did yesterday and today can shape our tomorrow.

This adaptation has several actors portraying multiple parts in order to tell the story. With traditional Christmas Carols woven through the narrative, you will surely feel enveloped in the holiday spirit!

Ben works as a Flight Line Service Technician with the UND Aerospace department. His main job: to ensure each aircraft is ready for flight. "It's not just pilots who run the show," Lunstrum said. "It's about the people behind the scenes." UND boasts one of the largest fleets of aircraft in the world. With hundreds of airplanes making thousands of flights per week, it takes a large support staff to make things work. Truckloads of aviation-grade fuel as well as gallons of de-icing fluid and hundreds of quarts of oil have to be delivered to each airplane each day.

Grand Cities Veg

Are you vegetarian? Vegan? Raw foodist? Flexitarian or simply curious about exploring a healthier lifestyle?  We are a casual, light-hearted group looking to build a community of support of a plant-based lifestyle that is easy on the planet, the animals and our HEALTH!  We meet in Grand Forks but have members from throughout the Red River Valley Area. Our meetings are held at 6:00pm on the first Thursday of the month.  We meet in the Community Room at The Twelve Houses (2017 DeMers Ave, Grand Forks).  We typically have a potluck followed by discussion, but have also had special guest speakers, book clubs, movie nights, dine-out nights, and meet ups with the FM Veg group in Fargo.   Please "like" our Grand Cities Veg Facebook group page!

I Don't Know Why I Have Six Copies Of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone But I Do

So I saw a donation box on the way into River Cinema today. I was going to take a picture of it and it's accompanying sign but my phone is full of pictures of my nephews' baby swag and has no more memory. The sign read something like:

So, first thing's first; when I was a Girl Scout I was in Troop "Three Digits" and I sold cookies door-to-door for $1.75 a box to people who couldn't believe they'd gone up so much in price; and I was awesome at it, I learned a little something about begging/selling/schmoozing and actually earned my badge.

That's not bitterness, it's nostalgia.

Anyway, donate your books if it will cause you no pain.

I like the Girl Scouts, I like anonymous children I'll never see, I like books and encourage the same in others.
