They got married after they got back from their first mission out of Earth.
So this is the Galaxy Garrison AU where everything went as it should be… (I guess?) Like, Shiro got back from the Kerberos mission safe and sound. A little later, Keith graduated and was assigned as Shiro’s co-pilot in the next expedition. Shiro proposed in outer space (because he’s a sap) and they got married a few days after their touch down on Earth.
Lets just imagine that the universe wasn’t in danger because this is a happy AU where everyone is happy… //cries
