1. Describe yourcomfort zone—a typical you-fic.dialogue- and description-heavy, character’s personalities are introducedthrough interactions, probably angsty, with a small chance for relief at theend. i also often work with topics such as physical and emotional abuse, mostlyfor self-indulgent reasons so even though that wasn’t in my comfort zonefrom the beginning, it definitely is now.
2. Is there a tropeyou’ve yet to try your hand at, but really want to?HIGHSCHOOL AU. I have/had both league and tf2 oc stuff plans with thistrope but i’m yet to write any of them.
3. Is there a tropeyou wouldn’t touch with a ten foot pole?
uhhh i’m not sure? i don’t likecrack/meme fics usually, so i suppose… those.
4. How many ficoriginal story ideas are you nurturing right now? Care to share one of them?
*looks at my wip folder* *cries* ’fraidI can’t tell you an exact number, because most of them isn’t even written down…its all in my head… and then one day i’ll die and ill have no one knowing aboutthemOKAY so I’ve been wanting to finally write the story of how Caleb and Yolandamet, how Caleb got hired as Yolanda’s bodyguard, a bit about Yolanda’s past(how she almost drowned but got saved by the sea goddess) and also about howLiza became part of the crew… just lil snippets like this…also, to actually talk about fics too, i always have way too many ideas for ourocs with @gglitchshit aka Alex and Lucien… a lot of fluffy stuff and a lot ofangsty stuff aswell… I’m currently writing a really angsty and downright grossone with them *wink wink*
5. Share one ofyour strengths.
according to peoplewho have read my stuff, i’m good at putting myself in the shoes of thecharacter i’m writing (if it’s a canon character or one of my friend’s ocs forexample) so they feel natural and accurate to canon.i’m also constantly trying to improve my dialogues, since I consider them to bea big part of my writings. (even if it’s the absence of a dialogue)
7. Share a snippetfrom one of your favorite pieces of prose you’ve written and explain why you’reproud of it.
„As Alex was holding the knife half a centimeteraway from the man’s neck, it felt like the past few week’s events are burningin every drop of his blood. War, mind games. Teeth-gritting, cigarette butts.Four locks on his van. Searching eyes, grasping fingers, numbing panic. Helevelled up the blade. Lucien couldn’t tilt his head more backwards. Hewouldn’t take his eyes off Alex. Nor Alex off him.”
I’m proud of this one because when I was writingthis, I was actually style experiementing and it turned out way better than Iexpected, despite writing the whole thing in like… an hour. also, @gglitchshitnamed her Cloak & Dagger quoting this and im just dfsdhgsfa SuperFlattered
9. Which fic hasbeen the hardest to write?
any that has smut (not even sex, minor teasing is already enough to set me off) in it. i’m just so easilyflustered and /// sjdgsahgalso, Where Roads Part (akazaunite squad) took 3 years to write, but that mostly because I rewrote a lotof parts in it and kept adding new and new scenes
13. What’s the best writing advice you’ve ever come across?
WRITE DRAFTS YAFOOLS. honestly, one of my biggest drawbacks used to be (and still is) wanting towrite every single part of my writings perfectly, resulting in rewriting andcorrecting tons and tons of sentences on the go, and eventually getting tiredand not progressing at all. allow your writings to suck at first, it’s a draft. for those of you who alsodraw: when it comes to that, you also need a sketch first before you startworking on the details.
32. How do you feel about smut?
i… i love them, buti’m way too flustered to write proper smuts as of now… but i read other’swritings in awe and fascination… one day i’ll be good as the Masters…
37. Talk about yourcurrent wips.
*looks atwip folder again* *resumes crying*
i got thatpreviously mentioned thing with Alex and Lucien, another one also with them(but that’s fluffy and borderline smut), one where I introduce my scout OC,Randy and his friendship with @gglitchshit’s Evan, aaand a lot of ideas withYolanda and her crew, most of them described before. (yes those are technicallyoriginal stories but!!)
