season 1 making me mad just thinking about any time someone says that if clark would’ve told lex his secret in s1 he would’ve kept it and everything could’ve been avoided someone has to be like “no lex was shady from the start investigating clark he couldn’t trust him” and i just. did we watch the same show. yes lex wanted answers. yes he had him investigated. but he basically threatened nixon when he mentioned making a story of it and said no one would ever know about it. and then after he thought clark was normal he told nixon that the kents were off limits even if there was something going on. HE JUST WANTED THE TRUTH. CLARKS SAFETY WAS STILL HIS NUMBER ONE PRIORITY
