— who needs a real mom when;
@ghnayeon
“okay where’s the catch?”, he asks, a hint of suspicion laced into his voice as he continues to comfortably walk next to the girl, easily keeping up with her a lot smaller steps.
he stuffs his hands into the front pocket of his hoodie while cursing silently at himself for not taking a jacket with him; the nights are getting colder and baekhyun already feels like he’s freezing in only the plush fabric of the hoodie. but nayeon kind of overwhelmed him with suddenly dropping by his apartment and forcing him to go outside with her, not even telling him what she’s planning to do.
“you know”, baekhyun continues, trying to bite back the heavy sigh that tries to slip past his lips, “i don’t have that much time. what do you want?” he has to work in a couple of hours, has to get ready before that – and that means spending an hour in front of the mirror to put on tons of heavy makeup, to make his eyes, his smile, his everything more appealing.
he’s just really not in the mood to go somewhere before that.
but nayeon just keeps this mysterious act up with her lips staying sealed about their destination and, if baekhyun’s completely honest, it kind of annoys him. this isn’t fun or exciting to him, it’s just plain annoying. the annoyance disappears rather fast, though, when they arrive – or, at least, baekhyun guesses they do when the girl suddenly stops in front of a building with a smile.
and baekhyun’s stomach immediately rumbles with longing. “ah—“, he just says, staring up at the sign, “that’s the new barbeque place i wanted to go to for a while.”
and he sighs, but this time in bliss because, wow, nayeon is probably the best person in the world. did she ever annoy him? no, she didn’t. how could she. she’s an angel.
