Stranger Things Thunderbolts* AU
Nancy had achieved her mission already, she captured Joyce’s old agents, the so called Thunderbolts now apparently, as they were escaping. She just needs to wait for six minutes for the plane to arrive and get them to the court to testify against Joyce to impeach her from power. It was going to be the single biggest achievement of her political career if successful. But then they had to start telling her about a girl called Chrissy who can fly, and how potentially dangerous she is under Joyce’s hands.
She didn’t believe them of course, but then Robin had to call her to tell her about the failure of project Sentry and how unbalanced this Chrissy person was. If the royal assistant was willing to go this extreme to betray her boss then this was serious. And not just because she can’t say no to Robin’s soft pleas for help. After some deliberation, she removes the group’s shackles to go save the way the old fashioned way.
“Why you got some place to be?” Nancy asked, as they looked at her in disbelief.
“Nancy, you have the wrong people. We have all done bad things.” Max argued, not believing they were the heroes she was looking for.
Nancy, the ex winter soldier, knows more then anyone about not having a clean slate so she isn’t going to start judging the others’s dark pasts now, even Harrington’s past actions.
“Look, I've been where you are. The past doesn't go away. So you can either live with it for ever, or do something about it.” Nancy said, subtly giving them a last chance if they wanted to abandon ship for survival.
