What is wrong with some fans? Why the gatekeeping bullshit? When Papa III was introduced, he literally said: “Il sono Papa Emeritus Terzo!” So people have been calling him Terzo. Wtf is going on?

Many Ghosts have a vague idea of what their Guardian is. Sagira sought someone with a spark, and found them in Osiris. Other Ghosts seek fighters. Some seek heroes.
I've always made a point of making friends of other Ghosts and figuring out why they chose who they did. I speak to anyone I can, anyone who's around. This mostly means I speak to people of Ikora's or Saladin's ilk. I know Zavala's Ghost sought a commander. Ikora's Ghost, Ophidicus, he sought- how did he describe it? Miyamoto Musashi. A philosopher-warrior. Many of the Iron Lords, Saladin tells me, were resurrected by Ghosts who sought tyrant-topplers.
But there is one Ghost that always stood out to me.
The Young Wolf's Ghost, they sought, quite simply, a guardian.

Why are there so many stories abt the ghosts of Confederate soldiers, but nothing abt black slaves coming back to haunt the fuck out of their former slave owners. Even ghosts on plantations are usually white people who died there. Like, given just how much death and destruction America is built off of, you would think that there wouldn't be an inch of this country that wasn't haunted by the spirits of black people or native Americans. You have whole cities like New York built on mass graves, all these places where white people rioted and murdered black people en masse, entire tribes of Native Americans who died because their way of life was destroyed...and yet ghost stories are disproportionately focused on white people. What the actual fuck.

I'm pretty new to the Ghost fandom, but honestly - seeing this huge implosion over RUMOURS is pretty disheartening. I've lurked in a lot of fandoms and in general stay the hell away from drama. I'm not gonna keep quiet about this, though. This? This is hurtful and gross. The band doesn't exist to be sex objects, or objects IN GENERAL. These are people with their own lives and projects and desires. If this rumour is even true (which I'm strongly of the opinion it's not, I feel it's just someone trolling to be a dick because I have YET to see a verified source on any of this) then it sucks but it's the reality of the project. I have ALWAYS seen Ghost as a subverted version of a Pop Star - Papa with his Ghoul backing band. The WHOLE POINT of the masks was to remain anonymous, and since the band started there have been 10 members involved with it. A line up change won't really change things that much, and I'm still going to support the band and support Papa. I'll even support the current Ghouls in their projects if it ends up being that they did leave Ghost. However - If you feel the need to make threats or pitch a fit over a RUMOUR then you need to take a fucking step back and evaluate your life choices. A band is not the end-all-be-all of your existence. If you get this upset over the members of a band (whom you statistically know little if anything about short of a name and face) then you have something going on that needs to be addressed, however it needs to be done. I love Ghost too, but people throwing themselves into a fit over a STUPID RUMOUR NEED to take a step back and breathe for a minute. Obsessing over rumours helps no one, and only hurts yourself and the fandom at large. And if you do decide to stop being a fan because of rumours (or if it ends up true) - see ya. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.
