Something that is kind of interesting concerning "Molly vs the Ghost World" is Molly's ghost form (a wrath since she's technically not dead yet).
Many have already speculated what Molly's ghost form would look like, and often I've seen those speculated designs in the colors red, pink, or purple. Something that matches with her color scheme, that is to say her cerise-purple skirt, or her dark red hair. I could've sworn I've seen blue as well, matching with her denim sleeveless jacket.
But in "Molly vs the Ghost World", Molly's ghost form is actually in a color I have seen absolutely NO ONE ever predict before.
A golden yellow-ish color. Almost a bit orange, even.
And that's kinda interesting, because when you think about it, not a single ghost in the Ghost World actually is colored yellow or orange by default at all.
You have sky blue ghosts, mint green ghosts, lavender ghosts, periwinkle ghosts, lime ghosts, pink ghosts, cyan ghosts... but no one that is bright yellow or orange.
The closest "yellow" ghost I can think of is Geoff in Scare Mode, who becomes a chartreuse yellow color, but is normally green.
(Contrast Molly's Scare Mode, who is a bright orange)
So why are yellow, gold or orange such rare colors among ghosts? Why is Molly the only one of this color?
Well, it turns out that in the Ghost World, Molly can actually spread joy with a mere touch. Like the Midas Touch, but with happiness instead of gold. It spreads rainbows, grows flowers, turns everything cute and cuddly, and Molly even leaves a golden magic trail behind her. Molly can literally destroy misery in this form (which includes the Flow of Failed Phantoms, and the Chairman himself).
So one can assume that Molly is this bright color because she's filled with so much joy that she literally cannot contain it. This is evidenced by the fact that when Jinx siccs the Sobgoblins onto her, she temporarily becomes gray as the Sobgoblins are sucking the joy out of her.
But that still doesn't explain why she is the only ghost with has such powers. Sure, she has those powers cuz she's pretty dang positive, but I doubt she's the ONLY person in the entire world that can be this positive.
But I think it's because she's technically not dead.
Being dead of obviously the opposite of being alive, and since the Ghost World is full of dead people, that means nearly every citizen's got the life sucked out of them when they pass away... literally, AND, figuratively. Not only are they dead, but also more miserable than humans.
The ghosts already live in a society in which their Chairman needs to feed itself of misery in order to "survive" and remain undead (as opposed to being gone forever). No reason given why that is so far (or how it became Chairman at all), but this at least explains why the Ghost World is structured in this way to need misery and appall joy... and why Ghost Molly is a blip in the system that could very well destroy said system.
As stated before, Molly has become a wraith... meaning she's not actually dead; not neutralized off her joy or filled with misery. Only separated from her body. This means she hasn't lost any of her joy. And since she's one of the most joyful people out there, her ghost form thus contains way more joy than it can contain.
I dunno, I find it pretty interesting that instead of picking a color that could be associated with Molly herself, they instead opted for a color that stands synonymous to joy itself, because they decided that Molly is basically the embodiment of joy compared to many other ghosts we know.
And that kind of makes you wonder if these ghosts are colored based on a random color they've been associated with... or based on their misery level.
Now I am seriously in the mood for some halfa Molly fan art. If anyone sees any please tell me
🎃HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!🎃
I would be remiss if I didn't give y'all a little Halloween treat. So, here it is! Just a morsel, with the potential to become more (as soon as my damn inspiration comes back, MAN I'm struggling with that).
Everyone stay safe, stay happy, and stay spooky! Happy Halloween!

As a world-renowned detective, and the only consultant employed (unofficially) by the police, murder investigations were nothing new to Sherlock Holmes. However, this was certainly the first time he’d been approached by the victim.
Well. He supposed there was a first time for everything… even seeing a ghost.
And despite his predilection for logic and reason, even he could admit there was no mistaking it; she was most definitely not living.
The ghost in question, a young woman of no more than thirty, turned as he entered his sitting room, and a pair of dark brown eyes clashed with his. That is, he assumed they were brown. He couldn’t say the precise shade, as she herself bore no trace of colour on her person, a greyscale image against a Technicolour backdrop. That, of course, was the first clue as to the reality of her state. The second was her attire: a ball gown, late Victorian, somewhere between 1880 and 1890, and entirely inappropriate for the chilled October air. She did not shiver or attempt to warm herself, suggesting she didn't feel the cold.
The final, most telling clue was the three or so inches between the floor and the hem of her gown—which, he noted on closer inspection, was not actually the hem. He could not see where the gown ended, for instead of feet planted on the ground, her person simply faded into nothing.
“Are you Sherlock Holmes?” she asked, her voice echoing slightly.
“I am,” he answered.
She floated toward him, and Sherlock surprised himself by remaining perfectly still and calm. “My name is Molly Hooper. I need your help to solve my murder.”
I got task into drawing a bunch of characters. People suggested ALOT of characters so have fun with that qwq
I wish I had some artistic ability cause I would make a ridiculous amount of ghost/super Molly McGee fan art because it was just that cool
Ghost/Super Molly is way more badass than she has any right to be. Amazing design
