one of my favorite parts of infinity train that i very rarely see touched on is that. the passengers are all missing from their normal lives. they vanish without a trace and if their loved ones are lucky they eventually come back. there's no weird time nonsense that or anything else that covers up the fact that that passenger isn't here anymore. they've gone somewhere else. does this make any sense
what im getting at is, they're missing people. i would love to see more people playing with passenger's families trying to find them. the desperate early searches combing local wilderness turning into missing posters, into waiting and hoping but ultimately trying to accept that they're probably dead (because statistically speaking, after like 48 hours, they most likely are).
maybe some passengers expect that if they spent say a year on the train, it won't have been a year back in their normal life. its thr train after all, its weird and unpredictable. only to get off and find they've been presumed dead for 10 months. their things all donated or given away. being told about the funeral that was held for them in abesentia. no longer having a job, a home, maybe even no more family. people have moved on with their lives.
because the people outside the train have no way of knowing you're on a magical therapy journey. all they know is you're gone, and there are no signs that you're ever coming back.
