I fuck up some of my society 6 products on purpose. I go through and do quality assurance on all of them, but sometimes I see something like this photo of the leggings where the band says “pity won’t save you”. The full phrase, as seen above, is “pity won’t save you from a wolf”. I like knockoffs. bad (usually 3rd party) versions of original ideas that I believe sit in sort of an “uncanny valley” area of our minds - like this “pokemon” blanket. to me, they feel like rare versions of original products. on all other products with this wolf graphic from the new ghostbook 27 line (links below), the words are clearly legible in all their cringy nerd-bully glory.

now, the fact that my society 6 products can be mass produced sort of defeats this. If the default for this one graphic on leggings is “knockoff”, then the knockoff becomes the norm. opposing that, I think I’m subconsciously playing off the knowledge that very few of my graphics are ever bought by more than one person. ghostbook 27′s shirts, zine and digital copies are out now, that means all of the old products are coming down in a week, so now’s the last chance to get them!
