yeah, and i wouldn’t be surprised if willara set that precedent to some extent. which, like, doesn’t make it bad and the trope in itself isn’t inherently bad, it’s just like...! i want a show w/ writers who are open to their protagonist not being straight...and you don’t really get that unless it’s, like, lost girl or something and then you’re instantly The Gay Show and that’s your hook and your demographic, full stop
