Ghostbusters Trailer
Ok so the new ghostbusters trailer had come out and there seems to be a lot of hate in this trailer some for actual criticism and some for stupid reasons saying “women shouldn’t be ghostbusters” personally I don’t mind female ghostbusters I mean there have already been female ghostbusters in the franchise so no I don’t mind female characters what I do mind is the casting for the characters I’m not really into Tina Fey or Megan McCarthy I think her name was they just don’t interest me they have their moments but I just don’t find them comedic and I don’t even know who the other two are.Other than that how does the movie look, well when I saw it me and my friend had the same thought “what the fuck?” Okay what’s good about this trailer well the technology looks cool and that’s kind of much it for me. What’s bad about this well first the CGI, it is okay but it reminds me too much of scooby doo movie and it looks ridiculously cheap and some of its unnessacary there are some practical effects involved but the cgi completely covers it so you can’t tell and makes it look fake the originals a lot of the ghosts were practical and the computer effects didn’t fully mask that stuff making it feel realistic.Second the tone and all that feels too weird the original had a more gritty vibe to it in away but this one feels to much like something that was made by Nickelodeon blown out colors everywhere it just feels to different from me.Finally the comedy, I only giggled in the last part the other scenes weren’t that funny it just feels like a bunch of slap stick in your face kind of comedy which just feels so overused today I can’t even the original films were more subtle almost like inside jokes I guess you could say I just couldn’t get into this the characters just act so cartoony it’s ridiculous even the previous films weren’t this cartoony and screaming everywhere. Some of the slap stick is just unnecessary like the slime scenes people it’s not funny seeing people get slime on them at least from what I understand it’s how people react to being slimed like Venkman’s weird humor after slimer slimed him you didn’t see him get slimed.I don’t know if this films going to do good or be a good reboot, oh wait that reminds me is this even a reboot cause it feels like a spin off sequel thing cause in the beginning title cards it says “30 years ago, four scientists were ghostbusters” paraphrasing right there but you know what I mean it feels more like a sequel than a reboot. p>
