Watching Scream again. OK, but when Ghostface attacks Sydney the first time at the house, he wasn’t actually trying to kill her right? (SPOILER)
Her dying early wasn’t part of the overall Billy/Stu plan.
Her death was always meant to be part of the big climax at the end. They say so.
Re-watching the scene, it is still weird: It does look like he was trying to kill her.
What if she hadn’t been so quick and smart and great at self-defense? Would Stu (I think it was him?) comically tripped up on an banana and giving her a few seconds to getaway?
