One of my friends asked me how do I kin David from Camp Camp and I ended up writing a good bit so why not post it here!! I DO NOT mean to get venty with this at all!! So please dont say anything abt that to me! This is just a general explanation.
His personality im gonna be so honest is LITERALLY ME like just his optimism towards life and people, him being so forgiving and seeing the best in people. Him always wanting everything to work out great, also when he gets angry he gets ANGRY (Like esp in season 1 he is a crashout queen)
His mannerisms also, like hes very expressive and hes seen jumping up and down, moving around alot and using exaggerated hand movements LIKE I DO THIS IRL
Also like him always putting people's needs and emotions before his own, felt that one. ALSO I DONT MEAN TO GET VENTY AT ALL WITH THIS, but him always hiding his true emotions under happiness and bottling up his emotions like oughhh
Him being a hopeless romantic PREACH DAVID PREACH!!! (He literally says that in the show)
Him being such an oberachiever and perfectionist and always panicking when things go wrong. Hes extremely non-confrontational and often tries to de-escalate conflicts and please everyone.
And him like feeling like hes the one that HAS to care or else everything will fall apart (the camp). Also needing Praise or Validation for the things you do to prove that they are worth doing in your mind.
The forest. All of the forest. Esp the ending line with him like oh lawd that cut deep.
When he was younger he was really pessimistic and like Max, lowkey I used to be way more rude and overall grumpy when I was younger.
Him not liking being vulnerable and not being vulnerable often.
Also being guilty over ex friendships and feeling like it was your fault it came to an end, and constanly thinking about them and how you should've acted.
I think those are all of them, idk i genuinely love this character so much and hes become such a comfort character for me...mostly bc I see myself so much in him and I am a big kinnie of him.
