Screening the film Ghost Fleet
My Mosaic Institute colleagues and I were pleased to partner with Human Rights Watch, to screen the film Ghost Fleet.
It documents the work of Patima Tungpuchayakul, who has come to the aid of more than 6'000 men enslaved aboard Pacific fishing vessels.
She is not a typical cinematic action hero: she is quiet, self-effacing, and unafraid to show emotion. But I think hers is a far more genuine and fierce heroism than the clichéd images the word "hero" tends to bring to our minds.
