Hi, for your writing anon: I also took a creative writing class and it didn't help at all. It's all about rules and blah blah blah. If you want to write, just write. You're probably gonna hate what you write and that's ok!! But to get better, you've just gotta do it. There's also a ton of online resources and stuff too, as well as a large group of fandom writers who I'm sure would love to help.

yes !! and i wouldn’t get caught up in the rules too much at once bc it can get overwhelming. you may end up overthinking the rules and obsessing over whether ur doing it right or not instead of focusing on actually writing. just get your words out first and then worry about making them prettier
