I like the idea that Carmine can just see ghosts
Been thinking about these two recently
A special kind of haunting.
So my power went out for like 2 days and a half, so to keep myself entertained I started drawing stuff like this for serotonin

Solve cases with your ghost ancestor!
I had this AU idea about 2 months ago while I was talking to @101flavoursofweird, but I didn't actually do anything about it until now for whatever reason.
Basically, they noticed how similar Carmine and Herlock looked and guessed they were related, then my imagination went wild and came up with this! Herlock is now a ghost that follows Carmine around, maybe sometimes gives him advice, but most of the time he's just quipping.
Alright so, you guys know teenytinyapprentice's ghost designs right? I love them, so I'm gonna apply the same logic to Ghostlock here.
Since we don't know how Herlock died, I made him a silhouette, a black void of unknown and ambiguity. If I really wanted to double down on that theme, I probably would have made his silhouette less defined and removed any and all facial features. Sadly I didn't have those ideas when I was drawing, and I want him to be able to express emotion outside of body language.
I imagine if he touched you, it'd tingle, like that part of your body just suddenly fell asleep. It'd also be really cold and fuzzy. So that's what our boy Carmine is feeling here, and it's probably not great.
