"there's one road in and outta here, so i'm pretty sure you pick a direction and you end up somewhere." angel understood that the clubhouse being one of the few places open this late made it an attractive place, but she still didn't always take kindly to strangers.
you can get into most places with a screwdriver and five minutes of youtube instruction. ( stiles )
@ghostsache
she stares at him for a moment or two. "why would you need a screwdriver? most places have a window you could break with your elbow." or at least, that's how she tended to do it. glass could leave some marks, but she had always healed quickly. plus, she never wore her nice clothes when she was breaking in anywhere.
take this with you . it's a good luck charm . ( liberty )
@ghostsache
rain stares at the little plant that has been offered for her. it's bright green, with four little leaves, and nothing else really going on. she's never had an interest in plant life, mostly because it doesn't tend to get along with her, so she has no idea what might be so special about the thing. she'd probably mistake it for grass, if she saw it while she was out.
"...is it lucky?" she tries getting glances at it from different angles, but can't quite seem to figure it out.
disclaimer idk what the writers are gonna do, i don’t claim to be psychic, and bc I’m familiar with the show up to everything except this weeks episode (until it hits streaming) so i may be influenced by that prior knowledge but anyways :>
spread is situation at hand, immediate future (days, weeks) if he continues ahead, and then long term future (months, years) on that path. using my movie tarot deck since tv character
situation at hand is represented by the hanged man. in this case, i would interpret the hanged man as representing feeling stuck, trapped, or being in an untenable situation. eventually something has to give because you can't stay there indefinitely. there is often an associated element of sacrifice with the hanged man, a need to let go in order to move forward. i think it's fair to apply this to eddie's relationship with his son, where i'd assume one in his position may feel that they are stuck in an impossible position and no matter what have to give up some kind of relationship: friends/colleagues or family, one or the other, the inability to have both and need to give up one to have the other. he can stay where he is with his friends in the 118, or he can go back to be with his son and closer to his parents, but he feels he cannot do both in the present situation. the hanged man can also symbolize a change in perspective. perhaps something about the current situation has caused a perspective change for eddie, or he could benefit from viewing his situation from another angle.
immediate future is represented by the knight of cups. there is the overt meaning of diplomacy, communication and charm. cups as a suit are associated with the element of water, and emotions. the knight may represent eddie's need to step forward and take action while bearing his emotions openly. he will need to be responsible (a knight's duty to their oath), particularly in his communication and with his and other's feelings. it may also reflect the emotional nature of the decision, and the kind of energy and change he brings with him in returning to texas. this card is idealistic, hopeful, charming, and in some contexts romantic though here it may be more of a family love than romantic love. the decision to move is or should be being made and led in the immediate period with that love and idealism.
finally, the hierophant. this one was interesting to me. the hierophant is associated with tradition, especially traditional social structures, and often with a religious connotation or underpinning. it doesn't necessarily mean he's gonna become religious or anything, but i think the long term effect of moving back may mean establishing a more traditional parental role with his son and possibly his own parents, particularly his father with the masculine depiction of the hierophant (especially in the movie deck). on more traditional decks the hierophant has two followers beneath him, so there is also an aspect of being an authority figure and having influence over people who may listen to or value the hierophant and/or their teachings. i don't necessarily think that by traditional the card means authoritarian or commanding necessarily; that would be better represented by the emperor in the major arcana in my interpretation. i think in this situation, the long term outcome is a return to traditional, or possibly just familiar, patterns and relationship dynamics in the family. this also makes sense since he is moving back somewhere, and returning to a familiar environment may bring forth old habits or familiar routines/patterns. again there is a level of responsibility and authority on display, one that is arguably stronger in the long term compared to the immediate future. we move from a knight in a minor arcana suit to a figure of authority in the major arcana, perhaps also signifying an increase in influence and/or responsibility in his relationship with his son and possibly his parents.
overall, one thing i think is interesting is the sandwiching of the minor arcana between the major, and the order theyve appeared in. hanged man is first and is card 12 in the major arcana, and hierophant is last/long term and is card 5. i don't think this inherently means that hes going backwards or regressing, but with the focus on tradition with the hierophant i think its a geographical and social return to the familiar and to what is traditional for him within his family. it's a return in some ways to how things were in the past for him, at least it seems like it will be in the long run in this spread.
since going to therapy, bay has been looking to more healthy ways to cope; especially since he tries to keep his smoking habits outside of work. so, here he is, in the firehouse kitchen during a rare moment of peace. keeping himself busy by cooking dinner for everyone on the b-shift, the smell of various spices have filled the space alongside the faint smell of rice. he glances over at reese as he slowly stirs a pot of stew, a quiet hum leaving him when he hears the rice cooker beep in completion, pushing a hand through his hair with his free hand as he speaks. " so, have you ever had beef mechado before? "
she plays with her milkshake's straw quietly, blue hues focusing on the book in front of her. it is rare for lucy to have some peace and quietly lately. the salvatore school had always been filled with judgmental people & the town filled with humans who hated her for no reason other than being a salvatore school student. now that she has moved away, lucy can finally just be herself. does she miss her old friends and her wings? yes. but perhaps it is best to only be lucy than lucy the love fairy. that is, of course, until she spots an awkward couple on their first date. her entire body vibrates with a need to meddle but she only chooses to comment on it instead. chuckling quietly, the dark-haired woman turns to @ghostsache next to her and smiles. ❝ how do you think they met? ❞
it was unclear to her why she was there. the only thing jo knew was that letting that first baby go had hurt a lot. and so did every other baby after him. and now, a few weeks later, she was tired of letting them all go. perhaps that was why her feet had dragged her to the fire station's doorstep. one night before @ghostsache had offered to keep her company and jo had said no. now? she was willing to say yes. except she did not even know if he was there or if he was not, you know, doing his actual job. what a mess. not that there was anything new about that fact. the woman chuckled to herself. she had officially lost it. about to make her way back to her car, mocha hues spotted his figure walking out the station. ❝ i'm okay! ❞ josephine exclaimed quickly, not wanting to worry him. why else would she be here? except... was she really okay? ❝ i just- i was wondering if the beer and pizza offer was still up? but then i realized you probably have more to do than- anyway. i'll just go. ❞
