Okay so I've been thinking about something today and I want to ask around about it.
When I was a kid, my family used to get visits from "The Halloween Fairy". She would come the night of the 31st, after trick or treating, and she'd take all of the candy my sister and I couldn't eat that night but leave something else in its place. CDs, DVDs, jigsaw puzzles, I Spy books; hell once I even got a Barbie doll in exchange for my sweets.
I don't know where my parents got the idea from, but I'm curious because I've never met anyone else who's family did the same thing, so: did any of you have a Halloween Fairy, or something similar?
Also if your family had any unique Halloween traditions that aren't to do with candy I'd still love to hear about them.
