Okay, jumping the gun of my little survey to give the people what they want: Friends-to-lovers, VxF!reader Part one.
The unpleasantries were dealt with and your then-boyfriend had taken it in such stride you may as well have been telling him about the weather in Sweden. While you weren't exactly in love, it would have been nice to have at least somewhat of a fight, at least to show some semblance of emotion. Your head was spinning even worse than before as you paced around the ground floor lobby, chewing at your nails. Part of you wondered if V’s breakup wasn't that at all and perhaps he was currently tongue deep in his partner right at this moment, leaving you standing there like an idiot.
Only you knew better. V was many, many things, but cruel was not one of them.
“Ah, there you are.”
The voice made you jump, the second time tonight he's nearly given you a heart attack. Okay, maybe third.
“I thought for a moment that lover boy had managed to win you over.”
You were able to force a smile, but V immediately saw through that facade, walking briskly forward and placing his hand on your arm.
“Not the most fun conversation, is it?”
You almost hated how genuinely sympathetic he sounded. It should make you feel guilty, or at least disgusted with yourself for how quickly you'd tossed aside one third of a year. Before you could even think to stop it, tears welled in your eyes as he quickly pulled you into a hug. Your arms wrapped tightly around his waist as he pulled you close, just like when you'd been dumped the last time. On your birthday, no less. That time V’s idea to cheer you up was a bar crawl then obviously rigged games at the world's sketchiest carnival. Lo and behold, it actually worked. You still had the cursed racoon plush he’d won you to show for it.
“He didn't even try to stop me. I don't even think he noticed I wasn't there,” you blubbered, feeling ludicrously foolish about the entire thing. “It's like I was nothing to him. I feel like nothing.”
With that, V pulled away, gripping your shoulders and holding you at arm's length, his eyes burning into yours.
“Don't you ever, ever fucking say that. You're not nothing. And that little cretin better keep his fucking distance or I’ll rip out his tongue and strangle him with it.”
“Jesus, V, remind me not to get on your bad side,” you sniffed, wiping your eyes.
“You could never. Now,” he ran his fingers along your arms, taking your hands in his. “Tell me what you're thinking. Do you need me to take you home?”
And just like that, the friend you'd relied on for years was first and foremost more concerned about your well-being than he was any promise of whatever lustful thoughts you shared. This only enlivened you more as you wondered just how long this had been boiling beneath the surface unbeknownst to you.
“You are taking me home. Unless, of course, you've run out of steam.”
His eyes flicked between yours before a wicked grin crossed his lips.
“Not on your life, angel.”
The drive to V’s apartment was admittedly a blur. While he had several rooms within Ministry Headquarters, he was able to talk his way into a private domicile, one on the edge of the city that was a separate place of peace, entirely of his own making.
“Before we get there,” V began, lacing the fingers of his non-driving hand with your own. “I think we best discuss certain guidelines.”
“That sounds kind of ominous, V.”
“You mean you don't want to wake up in a tub of ice minus one of your kidneys? That's it, I'm turning this thing around.”
“You are so fucking demented,” you grinned, giving his hand a squeeze. It was all so extremely odd; an hour ago this was the farthest thing from your mind and somehow now it felt like the most natural thing in the world.
“I'm not one for safe words,” V said, in a tone now devoid of humor. “You say ‘no’ and that's good enough for me.”
You swallowed hard, sinking into the reality he intended on bringing you into. You really hadn't had time to think of the, erm, specifics, let alone be ready to discuss what it is you wanted from this. And what the hell did you want?
“Is that okay?”
“O-oh, sure,” you chirped, realizing he really did mean for you to explicitly state your desires.
“Is that a hint of nerves I'm sensing? You didn't really think I'd take the plunge without talking about this first, did you?”
“Honestly, V, I haven't thought of much of…any of this. But I have been fucked before, I'm not exactly a blushing bride here.”
Letting out a subtle chuckle, he tapped his fingers idly on the steering wheel.
“Not by me you haven't.”
There was no way he intended that statement to come out as sensual as it did, but it was enough to make your thighs clench in anticipation. Hells, what was his plan?
“Is there anything I should not do? Anything you don't enjoy?”
“I mean, it’d be great if you didn't bring up crypto,” you teased, citing your oh-so-recent ex’s favorite topic of conversation.
“So no foreplay, got it.”
Once again, you caught yourself grinning like an idiot as you pulled his hand into your lap, your fingers cradling his. A quiet murmuring chuckle once again erupted from V and when you glanced over, you thought you were just able to make out color blooming in his cheeks. Was he as flustered as you were?
“It, uh, it would be nice if I didn't have to- erm…” Fuck this was so much more awkward than you'd expected.
“Listen,” he began, tipping his head towards you while still managing to keep his eyes on the road. “I want this to be what you want, what you need. You told me you wanted to be, as you so delicately phrased it, properly fucked. Do yourself a favor and tell me what that means for you.”
You had to admit, the directness without being a demanding asshole was quite the improvement already.
“I guess I don't want to have to constantly have to say what I'd like. If I didn't have to, I dunno, dictate everything.”
“You want me to be in control.”
“Without being… controlling, I guess. Does that make sense?”
“Of course it does. Although it is making me wish I'd clocked lover boy in the teeth when I had the chance if he couldn't even make do with the most basic of instruction. Probably went down on you like he was nursing an ice cream cone.”
You stayed silent, biting your lip awkwardly.
“...He did actually go- fuck, I really hate this guy.”
You'd been to his apartment on several occasions, once staying a week on the couch when your own apartment flooded. Of course V had demanded you take the bedroom, but you were able to sway him in agreement, only by the fact you were an early riser who would often be up before 6am, meaning the hiss of his espresso machine would undoubtedly wake him up. But now that you'd stepped into his place with very different intentions, it felt like walking into completely unknown territory.
V’s hand calmly stroked your back as he stood behind you, placing a gentle kiss against the back of your head.
“You don’t have to be nervous,” he reassured, his voice slightly muffled by your hair.
“I’m not,” you responded quickly. “I mean, not really.”
“What’re you thinking?”
You chewed at your lip anxiously, closing your eyes and tipping your head backward against him.
“V, I don’t want to think. I just…I want this. If I start thinking I’m not going to stop.”
“I just don’t want you to do anything you regret. If you’re having second thoughts-”
Spinning on your heels, you pulled his face down towards you, pressing your mouth to his in a fervent kiss. His arms quickly wrapped around your waist as his tongue flicked over yours with a hungry growl. After a moment, he broke the contact only slightly.
“Are you ready for me, angel?”
As he walked you towards the bedroom, one hand in yours, the other eased you forward, you felt as if you were in a daze. You'd been in his apartment, sure. But his bedroom? That level of intimacy hadn't yet breached your relationship. When he set you on the bed, the cushion of the duvet felt like an obscene luxury beneath you. Your fingers traced the silken cover, wondering if he'd ever thought about you in his bed before. What he'd do to you if given the chance.
As if reading your mind, V smirked as he slid the scarf off from around his shirt collar.
“You have no idea how many nights I'd imagined you in my bed. How many times I’d wished you were beside me. But agonizing over the fact you were never mine to possess.”
Crawling into the bed, his hand behind your head as he guided you down against the pillows. For a moment he kept his hand there as he loomed above you. There was an intensity in his gaze, but also the unmistakable softness you'd always found so comforting. Leaning in, he pressed his lips to yours, the weight of him resting on top of you.
"So what did you do about it?" You asked in a daring voice, eyebrow raised in curiosity.
"Nothing," he admitted flatly. "Like I said, you weren't mine. At least, not then you weren't."
Slowly, his hands found yours, slender fingers entwining with your own as he raised your arms over your head. The kiss deepened, falling into an increasingly fervent pace as your legs parted to better slot against you. A moan escaped your lips as his mouth moved to your neck, his tongue flicking against your throat. When he pulled away, the absence of his mouth to your skin elicited a desperate whine, making him chuckle.
“You still want me to be in control?”
You nodded, biting your lip as your heart pounded against your ribs. Taking the scarf, he laced the fabric around your wrists, fastening them above your head to the headboard. V pressed the end of the scarf firmly into your palm.
“It's a very simple knot. Tug this and you're free immediately. For whatever reason. If you say ‘stop’, everything stops. I'll be in control of your pleasure but you're still in control of your body.”
Your cheeks were burning, your arousal so palpable you worried it would take a simple touch to make you come undo but once again you nodded.
“I trust you, V. I want this.”
“That's my girl.”
You wriggled your wrists, finding the knot was indeed quite loose and you would likely be able to slide your hand out of it without much force. You gulped, forcing yourself to speak.
“Could, erm…”
“What is it, angel? Tell me what you need.”
“Could this be…tighter? Maybe, um, not easy to escape?”
*Ah,” V smirked again, amused by the request. “So you really want me to be in control. Are you sure?”
“I am. I want to be completely at your will, as if I'm never leaving this bed.”
“Well that's certainly convenient as I don't plan on letting you leave it any time soon. We're only just getting started.”
He sat up, undoing the knot and refastening it tighter, your hands completely flush with the headboard.
“Same rules apply, angel. And I take it you’ve never done this sort of play before?”
You shook your head, a little intimidated but more turned on by the idea than you'd ever thought possible.
“How would you feel about your feet being restrained as well?”
A lump raised in your throat as you considered the question, your eyes widening.
“We don't have to if it's too much-”
“Do it.”
Despite your nerves, you agreed with certainty. If you were dipping a toe in the water you may as well dive in. When he stood, his hand traced down your leg, the feeling of soft leather against your skin made your stomach flip, your back arching deeply.
A single finger tailed up your leg from your ankle, stopping to knead the muscle behind your knee. When he glanced up at you, a wordless agreement seemed to pass between you: this was exactly what you wanted, and he was prepared to deliver. As his hand crept further upwards, his eyes darted from his work to your face, as if almost terrified of going too far. You let out a gasp as he reached the waistband of your underwear.
“It will be much easier to rid yourself of these before I restrain you. Would you like that?”
Taking a deep breath, you nodded, so quickly in fact it was a wonder your neck didn't crack. With a smirk, both hands pulled at the lace fabric, yanking your underwear down to your ankles before tossing them aside. V barely glanced at your sex before focusing on the restraints at your feet, yet you couldn't help but notice his tongue trace hungrily over his lips
“I promise I will never make fun of your ascots again, V,” you chuckled, letting the comfort of a smile break through the nerves. V followed suit, fastening the silk around your ankle.
“This is all it took? To think I could have saved myself so much hostility.”
He paused for a moment, his hand gently caressing your foot.
“I'm going to spread your feet apart. You're going to feel rather exposed but only for a moment. Would you like me to continue?”
“Before I say yes,” you began. “Can you promise me something?”
V’s eyes shot to yours, his hands firmly planted on the mattress, focus fixed entirely on you.
“Anything, angel.”
“Can you stop asking me every thirty goddamn seconds if I'm okay? I promise I'll tell you if I'm not but if I don't say anything, shut the hell up.”
Letting out a hearty laugh, he dropped his chin to his chest, shaking his head.
“You drive a hard bargain, especially when you've only given me such enthusiastic consent so far. Deal.”
With that, he gave your ankle a sharp tug, prying your legs apart with a smirk as he tightened the knot.
feeling edged yet, you little freaks? don't worry, there will be a part three. stay tuned.
