I just found out there’s a class called Ghoul Studies and now I’ve become obsessed with this dark Hogwarts trivia and I need to know MORE

#give us science people more to work on // seeing your tag had me thinking what if analyzing tokyo ghoul was a university major; we could have the sciences analyze everything in regards to the existence and evolution of ghouls, the politics major could deal with problems and look for solutions in a society with ghouls and what the fall of the tsukiyamas would mean for japan in tg verse or perhaps even all of east asia and the world depending on the influence it has on other countries

the literature majors could tackle all of ishida's stylistic devices, references and symbols he planted in his story, people like me with philosophy as their major would analyze and muse about pretty much everything from ethics and morals to -- well, the possibilities are endless. and there's so much more. I'm pretty sure if it was possible, you could even write a bachelor thesis in your major on tg LOL frankly, I wish I could muse about tg in my lectures instead of what I have now

SIGN ME UP FOR GHOUL BIOLOGY STUDIES! omg, you have no idea how much I love that idea, thank you! Can you imagine the advances that could be made towards medicine by studying the regenerative quality of ghouls? And politics, and sociology, and even socioeconomics! We don’t know the situation of ghouls outside of Japan, but there could be global-scale studies on education and development, and all these ideas are fantastic! Aaah, I really want this to happen, especially if in the end we get to see humans and ghouls take steps to coexist.  

Ah, wait, I just saw the second part of your ask, lol. But yes, I think it would be wonderful both in-universe and outside. :D Considering the amount of time I’m already spending analyzing this series I really could get a minor in TG :’D
