|| Khaptad Lake || . Situated in the north-eastern part of Khaptad National Park an altitude of 3,050 m, this was the first place I wanted to visit. Thought of camping here for a night on the banks of the lake but the locals suggested not to for some reason. || A Day in Malikarjun || Start your Day with a view of misty hills around you, and watch the birds fly till the end of the horizon as you sip your milk tea sitting on a wooden bench listening to chiya dokane baje's stories. The way people in Malikarjun start their day is in concept similar to how people in Kathmandu do it, the only difference is that they have an underlying calmness in their manner that we don’t. You see children coming out, mothers getting their kids ready for the school and slowly the morning ripens as more and more people come out of their homes and create an environment in the village. A village where people stay away from alcohol, cigarettes, and meat, completely, they’ll actually get offended if you ask for it, Malikarjun in Darchula is a visual as well as a spiritual boost.
