The Amazing Sommer has bequeathed these questions upon me (and others) so I shall answer for I am procrastinating:
Her Questions:
1. Describe your favorite birthday
One that has already happened? Hm, well I don't remember it too well but when I was turning 7 or 8 my parents threw me a "puppy party" where a service came and put up a little fence in my backyard and filled it with adorns puppies to play with. I want to do this again.
2. What do you do to cheer yourself up?
Usually I write really bad spoken word poetry when I'm upset. I also have a habit to smoke the gange/bud (welcome, friends).
3. What is your favorite poem?
Oooh tough question. There are so many. My love of poetry is like other people's love of seashells- I really love reading them but I never keep them with me. The one poem I truly admire for so many reasons is The Hollow Men by T.S Elliot.
4. Something you wish you could tell someone:
I know some people and friends are easy targets to tease but really you are lowering them as a means of thinking higher of yourself, and that is not friendship. I see this sometimes in my friend group, sometimes it is directed at me, other times I do it- it's something we all need to work on.
5. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?
In the moment oh goodness um
6. It’s 2030. What are you up to?
I am the head of a self-started Arts Company that specializes in "The Unheard Voices and Art" of forgotten people around the world (refugees, immigrants, small tribes) basically I would be producing their work- their poetry, movies, art, etc- to the world, so they get the attention as individuals they deserve as opposed to a statistic or another face in an American's documentary. I just really want to produce other's arts and not the other way around. (exploit other cultures as means of my own art)
7. Who’s your role model?
I really don't have just one. Everyone I meet and like has a quality to them that I respect and hope to achieve. So many of my friends are so freaking amazing I can't help but look up to them. Also Meryl Streep.
8. What’s your favorite outfit to wear?
I love breezy dresses! I also love climbing but honestly I will do that in a dress. I feel most comfortable barefoot in a cotton floral outfit.
9. What does your dream house look like?
It will be a tree house in a redwood forest or any forest or it will be a english-style cottage in a field of sunflowers
10. What are you excited about?
Going to Scotland but lets face it really traveling around Europe in hostels and experiencing myself traveling alone.
11. What (or who) are you most proud of?
Once again I have to say my friends. Not only are they willing to hang out with me (I jest) but especially those I grew up with. Watching them grow up from awkward teens into amazing human beings with such kindness and passion to help the world is so inspiring. I am so proud to call them my best friends.
Okay so I guess I must make questions. But here's the thing: this game has gotten old real fast for many people today and those I would tag have probably already received at least two. The Mighty Gina has tagged me! I am so honored. Here are her 11 Questions:
1. If you had the power to pave the streets with anything, what would you pave them with?
Dark Chocolate Dreams (which is chocolate peanut butter. I just bought a jar as a "congrats girl u survived sophomore year" present)
2. Kit-Kats or Snickers?
Neither but theoretically Kit Kats because somehow Snickers just rub me the wrong way. (These feelings did not apply to Three Musketeers and Milky Ways, however)
3. Favorite office supply?
Blank computer paper. I keep a stash in pretty much every single drawer at home because I love to doodle while watching TV or something.
4. What kind of headphones do you use?
Beats by Dr. Dre. They're red and awesome.
5. If you had to trade your iTunes library with anyone, who would you trade with?
Maria, because she has probably the best taste in music out of everyone I know and she has the most diverse range of artists/genres.
6. Have you been annoyed by my use of prepositions at the ends of sentences?
I honestly didn't notice. Whoops.
7. Describe your immediate family in terms of mythical animals.
My mother: a dragon My father: a centaur Jennifer: a phoenix Megan: a My Little Pony. Enough said.
8. A food you can’t stand?
All meat and dairy products and eggs, and I am saying this with complete honesty. It's been so long since I've cooked/ordered a non vegan meal that I can't even fathom eating any of those things. Someone was making fried eggs in my kitchen the other day and the smell made my stomach turn. For reals.
9. Where would you visit if you had to bring your grandparents/a professor along?
Italy. If my grandparents we with me we would probably visit my family, go see an opera, go to museums, buy a lot of olive oil, and drink a lot of wine. If a professor was with me, I would pick Judy Serafini-Sauli and we would probably do the same thing minus seeing my family plus visiting Dante's tomb.
10. If you could wake up tomorrow and instantly know how to play a musical instrument with some level of competence, what instrument would you want it to be?
Cello! Pat Muchmore and I could play crazy angry sounding cello duets with weird titles.
11. Drake or Josh?
