Perhaps it would have been in Nolan's best interest to not engage with those who held an obvious distaste for his presence -- know where he was wanted, where he wasn't, and be able to abide accordingly -- but it simply wasn't in his nature. No, his interactions with others who glided through the NYC criminal underworld were all part of the game, more or less, and the eldest Fitzpatrick had, over time, learned that a lot could potentially be gleaned even in the most unpleasant interactions. Then again, there were people like Gigi Garcia who seemed to have no real rhyme or reason for disliking him other than because she could, but considering how parallel their careers as defense attorneys ran, Nolan felt it in his best interest to play nice. "Can I offer to buy you a drink without you threatening to bite my head off?" The male asked as he joined Gigi at the bar, fingers drumming at the table. "If your past couple'a weeks have been anywhere as busy as mine, I'm sure you could use it."
